Each county Farm Bureau offers different scholarships and grants. Scholarships are accepted once a year. They are due at the middle or end of March, depending on the county. Please be sure to read the requirements for each scholarship. You may contact the county Farm Bureau office with any questions.
Grants are accepted once a year for the Huron County Teacher’s Agriculture Grant. Grants are accepted twice a year for the Lorain County Agricultural Awareness Grant; these dates are January 31st and June 30th.

Ohio students from rural, suburban and urban communities and pursuing degrees connected to agriculture are invited to apply for a set of scholarships through three programs supported by the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation.
Collectively, these programs will award at least 10 scholarships, each featuring a minimum $1000 award. The application deadline for all scholarship programs is Monday, March 1, 2011.
“Our scholarship recipients have a variety of interests and come from a variety of different backgrounds, but they all have career plans where agriculture plays a key role helping them pursue career goals, and benefit and their community,” said Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation President Jack Fisher.

The Erie County Master Gardeners Association has announced plans to award a $1,000 scholarship to a student entering college and pursuing a degree in plant science such as in the areas of agronomy, botany, horticulture, forestry or landscaping. Applicants must be an Erie County resident, or a graduate or graduating senior of a high school in Erie County. Interested candidates should complete an application which can be downloaded from Erie County Master Gardeners' site. Application deadline is March 31, 2011.
